Polling Location Inaccessible for Physically Disabled Voters

The polling location for Lawrence Park Township District 1 at the Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 2320 East Lake Road, Erie PA will not be accessible to physically disabled persons for the Primary Election on May 20, 2025 as the accessibility ramp is under construction. In an effort to assist voters, the Erie County Board of Elections will provide alternative ballots for disabled voters in Lawrence Park Township District 1. Alternative ballots are the same ballots everyone else receives at the polls, but are cast in an alternative method because the affected voters will not be able to get up the stairs to feed their own ballots into the scanner. Physically disabled or elderly voters unable to access the polling site will need to apply for the alternative ballots. They can apply ahead of time, and ballots will be sent to them in the mail, or they can apply at the polls and will be given an alternative ballot on election day.
