ERIE, PA –The Office of Erie County District Attorney Elizabeth Hirz invites you to learn about the Law Enforcement Treatment Initiative on Thursday June 29 at one of seven sessions scheduled at the Hirt Auditorium in the Blasco Library.

The Law Enforcement Treatment Initiative, (LETI), provides an alternate option to law enforcement when dealing with offenders who commit low level, non-violent crimes and suffer from substance use disorder. District Attorney Hirz launched LETI in Erie County on May 1, 2023. Under this initiative, law enforcement has the option to guide individuals suffering from addiction into treatment, rather than diverting them into the criminal system.

LETI is a law enforcement led initiative, but ANYONE can make a referral, and therefore we would like to invite anyone who is interested to attend one of the training sessions Thursday, June 29, in the Hirt Auditorium at the Blasco Library.

Training sessions will be throughout the day and start at the following times:

  • 8:00-9:00
  • 9:30-10:30
  • 11:00-12:00
  • 1:00-2:00
  • 2:30-3:30
  • 4:00-5:00
  • 5:30-6:30

Please RSVP to Lynette Maggio, lmaggio@eriecountypa.gov, and indicate which session you will be attending.

These sessions are free and anyone interested in the program is welcome! Join us!”
