Erie, PA – County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper today announced eight new positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Erie County. The total positive cases of COVID-19 in Erie County to date is 191, with 3,658 negatives and 121 recovered.

Current data can be found on the chart and cumulative cases map by zone (refresh page) on the “Positive Cases in Erie County” page at eriecountypa.gov.

“As you celebrate Memorial Day this weekend, please try to keep in mind that everyone you invite to your home is essentially bringing with them everyone they have come into contact with in the past 14 days,” said Dahlkemper. “We don’t encourage Memorial Day picnics and gatherings with those you don’t live with, but if you insist upon gathering, please do it outside, wear a mask and keep a 6-foot distance from one another.”

Jennifer Eberlein, community program manager for Corry and a registered nurse, joined the County Executive today to provide insight on the principles of moving naturally, having the right outlook, eating wisely and safely having social connections.

A new COVID-19 Consumer Resources for Locating Food Pantries/Food Resources document can be found online at eriecountypa.gov on the “Community Health Interest” page.

Briefings will move to only Tuesday and Friday next week.
