Erie County reports 10 new positive cases of COVID-19 for cumulative total of 226

Erie, PA – County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper announces 10 new positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Erie County. The total cumulative cases of COVID-19 in Erie County to date is 226, with 129 recovered cases and 93 active cases.
Updated data can be found on the chart on the “Positive Cases in Erie County” page on eriecountypa.gov.
Of the 226 cases, 54% are female and 46% are male. The breakdown of cases by race/ethnicity is as follows:
- 61% White residents
- 25% African American/Black residents
- 9% Asian residents
- 2% Multiracial residents
- 1% Other
- 2% Unknown
The age breakdown of the 123 cumulative cases looks like this:
- 4% are ages 0-4
- 1% are ages 5-9
- 5% are ages 10-18
- 13% are ages 19-24
- 42% are ages 25-49
- 24% are ages 50-64
- 11% are ages 65 and older
Consistent with Wednesday updates, the County Executive reminds everyone to complete the 2020 Census.
“While being safe and practicing social distancing at or close to home, please take a moment to respond to the 2020 Census, and then encourage everyone you know to complete it, too,” Dahlkemper said.
Erie County is at 68% completion, and the City of Erie is at 59%. Residents can visit www.census.gov or call 844-330-2020 to complete the census. If the phone line is busy, please leave information to be called back.
