Erie, PA – County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper announces the launch of the newly redesigned county website at eriecountypa.gov.
The new website enables faster, more responsive and easier navigation, in addition to being mobile friendly. All pages of the website are built to be as ADA (Americans with Disabilities)-compliant as possible.
“The launch of the new Erie County website is part of a broader plan to make county resources more accessible to our residents,” said Erick Friedman, director of information technology for the County of Erie. “The website is modern and well organized, and the new search bar makes finding information quick and easy.”
In the seven days since its launch, the website has already seen an uptick in daily traffic: Subpages are being accessed more, which demonstrates the improved usability, and data reports show an increase of more than 3,000 hits per day.
“I am thrilled to finally launch this sleek new website, which is inviting and informative for all those across the nation and the world who might visit our website,” Dahlkemper said. “I am also proud to say that we completed this project 100 percent in-house, saving taxpayers a significant amount of money. This new site accurately depicts Erie County as a place you want to come to live, work and play.”
