Erie County honors National Child Abuse Prevention Month

Erie, PA – County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper’s administration today issued a proclamation in honor of National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
The Honorable Judge John J. Trucilla and Director of Administration Gary N. Lee recognized Lana Rees, director of the Erie County Office of Children and Youth, along with the courts and everyone who contributes to protecting the children of Erie County. Rees then acknowledged the work of OCY employees and local agencies, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Spotlights have illuminated the courthouse blue – the color for Child Abuse Prevention – and will remain in place throughout the month of April.
The Erie County Office of Children and Youth, which focuses on the safety and well-being of children and youth in the county, encourages all organizations and residents to help make Erie County a place where children and families thrive.
