Erie County Department of Health moves to online applications for licenses and permits
Erie, PA — Erie County Department of Health is moving to online applications for licenses and permits at Eriecountypa.gov/health/license .
Beginning April 24, all existing and new license and permit applicants are required to create accounts for free and submit an application at the user-friendly website. The new system provides benefits for users like:
- Fill out forms online
- Submit applications and required documents online
- Pay application and license fees online
- Have licenses or permits emailed to you
- Print your licenses or permits
- Access to your records online
- Message with your inspector
- Quick renewal process
To make this transition a success, Erie County Department of Health will be unable to accept license applications from April 17 through April 23, 2023. Licensees who create their free account and submit their application by June 30, 2023 will receive a 10% discount on their next license fee.
Erie County Department of Health handles the following:
- Licenses for Restaurants, Grocery Stores and Events (community dinners, fairs, etc.)
- Permits for Campgrounds and Manufactured Home Parks
- Registrations for Public Pools and Small Flow Treatment Facilities
- Licenses for Tattoo and Body Art Facilities, including temporary operations
It also handles inspections of schools.

We want businesses in the county to succeed.”
Information sessions
Information sessions will be held for licensees to learn more about using the new system. All sessions will be held via Zoom and in-person at the Admiral Room, Blasco Memorial Library, 160 E Front St., Erie.
