Elizabeth K. Kelly was elected to the Erie County Court of Common Pleas in 1999. She served as president judge from 2005 to 2009, and previously served on the Judicial Ethics Committee and Juvenile Court Judges’ Commission.

She was formerly a partner at Elderkin, Martin and Kelly, and an Assistant City Prosecutor in Akron, Ohio. She is admitted to all courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of Ohio, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

Kelly is member of the Erie County Bar Association, the Northwestern Pennsylvania American Inns of Court. She previously served as an adjunct professor at Penn State and Mercyhurst College.

An Erie native, she earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law, where she was on the Editorial Board of the Akron Law Review, Chair of the Student Honor Code, and Vice President of the Student Bar Association. She received a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
