Judge Daniel J. Brabender Jr.

Daniel J. Brabender Jr. was elected to the Erie County Court of Common Pleas in 2009.

He was a former partner at Carney, Good, Brabender and Walsh. He is admitted to all courts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of Ohio, as well as the United States District Courts for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the Northern District of Ohio, and the Third Circuit for the United States Court of Appeals;

Brabender is a member of the Erie County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations, as well as the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity and the University of Dayton School of Law Alumni Board of Trustees. He is a member of the Erie Sports Commission, and is past president of the Sierra Club of Erie and the Cathedral Prep Alumni Association, as well as a past member and chairman of the Cathedral Prep Advisory Board. He is a member of St. George Roman Catholic Church, and he has been a local varsity and junior varsity soccer coach.

An Erie native, he earned a Juris Doctorate and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton School of Law. He is also a graduate of Cathedral Preparatory School.

He and his wife, Marci, have two children, Alexis and Rachel.
