Ellen Schauerman has represented Erie County Council’s District 7 since 2020. Ellen serves on the Pleasant Ridge Manor Board of Trustees, the Erie County Board of Elections, and the Pleasant Ridge Manor Board of Trustees. Schauerman is a liaison to the Assessment Office, Erie County Domestic Relations Office, the Erie County Health Department, the Human Relations Commission, the Library Foundation, and the Pleasant Ridge Manor Workers Compensation Board.
A registered nurse, she works as a neonatal nurse at UPMC Hamot. She has served on various committees of the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association and is a member of Hamot’s ethics committee. She received a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
She has also served on the board of a local credit union and has worked as an elections judge in Fairview Township for 20 years. In the midst of a pandemic year, Ellen served the community not only via her profession, but in the fight for tax relief and fiduciary responsibility to the citizens of Erie. Ellen has been recently asked to head a Committee on County Council that promotes vaccination and education in relation to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Schauerman lives in Fairview Township. She is widowed with two children.

District covers the boroughs of Albion, Cranesville, Girard, Lake City, McKean and Platea, as well as Conneaut, Elk Creek, Fairview, Franklin, Girard, McKean and Springfield townships.
The term expires in 2024.
