Kim Clear has represented Erie County Council’s District 1 since 2020.
She is a teacher in the Millcreek Township School District, and was named the Golden Apple Award Winner of the Year for the 2013-14 school year. She is a proud member of the Millcreek Education Association, where she has been a union representative and liaison. She previously worked in marketing, sales and management, and she and her husband have operated small businesses.
She has been active in the Erie County community, organizing fundraisers for charities such as Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society, the Caring Place, the Humane Society of Erie, the Ronald McDonald House of Pittsburgh, and the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
A lifelong resident of Erie County, Clear was born and raised in the City of Erie. She is a graduate of Mercyhurst University and Mercyhurst Preparatory School.
Clear lives in Millcreek. She and her husband, Tom, have two daughters.

District 1 covers Millcreek Township Districts 2 through 10, 12 through 17, and 22 through 25.
The term expires in 2024.
