Dr. Foust was first elected Erie County Controller in 2019, taking office in 2020.
He served as an Erie County Council member for 16 years, representing County Council’s District 5. Dr. Foust previously served as business development manager at CityGrows and worked in higher education for 23 years as a career and internship counselor.
A lifelong Erie County resident, Dr. Foust is the son of former Erie County Councilman Paul Foust. After graduating from Harbor Creek High School, Foust received a doctorate from Duquesne University, a master’s degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s degree from Mercyhurst University.
He and his wife, Casey, live in Harborcreek Township with their three children.
