Kenneth J. Gamble has served as Erie County Clerk of Records since 2015, when he was appointed to the position by Erie County Council. He was later elected to a full four-year term in 2017.
He took on the role after serving as Deputy Clerk of Records since 2002, and before that as First Deputy Prothonotary, since 1993. Gamble joined the Clerk of Records office after serving as a law clerk to the Chief Administrative Judge at the Board of Claims and the District Attorney in Harrisburg, as well as the Erie County Court of Common Pleas.
Gamble is a graduate of the Dickinson School of Law, Gannon University and Cathedral Preparatory School. He was admitted to the bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the Supreme Court of the United States and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit.
He is a member of the Erie County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Legion. He has been active in many professional organizations, including the Erie County Records Improvement Committee, the Register of Wills and Clerks of Orphans’ Court Association of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Recorder of Deeds Association and the Pennsylvania State Association of Prothonotaries and Clerks of Courts. He also has served as an adjunct faculty member at Gannon University and Penn State Behrend.
