The Erie County Department of Planning and Community Development provides strategic, coordinated guidance over the growth, planning and development activities in Erie County with the goal of creating a healthy, prosperous, and vibrant community for all residents.
The Department of Planning and Community Development works to improve communities, assist municipalities and support economic development.
The Erie County Department of Planning and Community Development maintains the Erie County Comprehensive Plan and helps the county’s 38 municipalities in their own comprehensive planning efforts. The department administers grants for various programs, offers GIS services, and has multiple programs that offer support to our communities.
