The Erie County Office of Drug and Alcohol Abuse administers drug and alcohol prevention programs and residential and outpatient treatment programs, as well as providing information and referrals. Our case management unit provides drug and alcohol screenings, assessments, treatment referral and monitoring, along with case management support.
The office and its contracted providers give preference to treatment in this order:
- Pregnant injection drug users
- Pregnant substance users
- Injection drug users
- Overdose survivors
- All others
The Erie County Office of Drug and Alcohol Abuse provides treatment to priority populations such as pregnant women who inject drugs, pregnant women who use substances, persons who inject drugs, overdose survivors and veterans. If you do not have health insurance and cannot pay for treatment, the D&A office can help you apply and/or link you to the appropriate paperwork for medical assistance. No one is denied service because of an inability to pay. Please be advised that funding is provided by the State and Federal government and there is no guarantee that the office will be able to pay for the entire length of treatment. Please contact the Erie County Office of Drug and Alcohol Abuse at 814-451-6877 for further questions or for case management, screening, assessments, referrals and treatment options.
