The Food Safety Manager Certification class by the Erie County Department of Health prepares food handlers to take the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals Certification Exam.
Pennsylvania requires that most retail food facilities employ at least one certified food employee accredited by a nationally recognized food safety program.

- Proper methods for thawing, cooking, cooling and reheating
- Hand washing and hygiene
- Sanitation
The exam is done after the class. Those who pass the exam will receive the Food Safety Manager Certificate, which is valid for 5 years.

- Class – 9:30am to 4:30pm with 45-minute lunch on your own.
Day 2
- Class – 9am to 12:30pm
- Exam – 12:30 to 2pm
