MESSAGE FROM LEADERSHIP

The Erie County Economic Development Department Fusion Strategy was created by County Executive Brenton Davis to advance regional economic development efforts by coordinating and utilizing all resources in a more efficient and effective manner.  The purpose of the Fusion Strategy is to bring all of the municipalities throughout Erie County, and beyond, into the economic development ecosystem.  It is a mechanism that will make various county resources available to all parts of Erie County, regardless of the size of the municipality.

Services such as project evaluation and development, funding analysis and grant eligibility evaluation, planning services, site analysis, GIS mapping and analysis, and grant writing support will be available to the cities, townships and boroughs that may not have had the benefit of these resources in the past. The philosophy driving the Fusion Strategy is that economic development is not simply attracting new business to a region, but is most importantly supporting growth and success of existing businesses and helping communities throughout the region provide the infrastructure and environment to foster this success.  If we work together to address our needs, we can create a thriving region, tailored towards economic success!
