When Kathy Dahlkemper first ran for County Executive in 2013, she campaigned by traveling around the county on a three-day bicycle trek.
An avid cyclist, Dahlkemper decided to continue the tradition after taking office as County Executive.
Each year, she has led a group of riders on a daylong Bike Around the County ride. The ride route and itineraries are carefully planned to incorporate information about county services, to connect citizens to local and state agencies, and to highlight the county’s historic and scenic assets.
