County Executive’s Office

The Erie County Executive provides visionary leadership for the region. The office works to promote a responsible county government, support a vibrant regional economy, assist local municipalities, and create healthy and sustainable communities.

The Erie County Executive oversees the administration of county departments: the departments of Corrections, Health, Human Services, Planning and Community Development, Public Safety and Veterans Affairs, as well as the Public Defender’s Office and the Erie County Public Library. The county’s Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations and Procurement departments also operate under the County Executive’s oversight.

Outside of county government, the County Executive works with businesses, nonprofits, citizens and other governmental agencies to promote economic development, support collaboration, and create a thriving Erie County for generations to come.
