Concerning Erie County Mail Ballots


    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 29, 2024   The Erie County Board of Elections is acutely aware that many voters in Erie County have not received their requested mail ballots. The Board has been working diligently with the Voter Registration Department, the Pennsylvania Department of State, and the United States Post Office to determine the origin and scope of this matter. In the meantime, the Board of Elections, with support from the Department of State, has extended the hours of operation for the Voter Registration and Election Departments. Anyone who has applied for a mail ballot prior to the statutory deadline of 5:00pm on Tuesday, October 29 and has not yet received that ballot, may come to the office to cancel that ballot and receive a new one at the counter until 4:30pm on Monday, November 4, 2024. In order to better assist the people of Erie County, the Voter Registration office will maintain extended hours as follows:
Tuesday October 29, 2024 8:00am-6:00pm
Wednesday October 30, 2024 8:00am-6:00pm
Thursday October 31, 2024 8:00am-6:00pm
Friday November 1, 2024 8:00am-6:00pm
Saturday November 2, 2024 8:00am-2:00pm
Sunday November 3, 2024 8:00am-2:00pm
